We are looking for a Chartered Business Valuator for our growing valuations and litigation support practice on Vancouver Island, who would either have or be interested in pursuing a designation as a Canadian Insolvency Restructuring Professional (CIRP).
Hayes Stewart Little & Company is a full service CA firm with offices in Victoria, Duncan, and Nanaimo. We are associated with Hayes McNeill & Partners Ltd. with offices in the same locations and Port Alberni.
We have a staff and partner complement of about 50 in all the offices. We are large enough to attract many sophisticated clients and engagements, but not so large that our specialists practice in only one area, including tax, assurance, valuations and litigation support and insolvency.
Both of the business valuations and insolvency areas of our practice are currently underserviced, and the partners of the firm are mindful of the need to develop new talent for succession planning.
We are looking for an energetic self-starter who has a knack for getting known and a reputation for hard work and excellence. The ideal candidate will have a CBV plus two years of post qualification experience, and wish to expand his or her professional opportunities in public practice with a growth oriented firm. We have three CIRP’s at present based in Duncan and Nanaimo. Training and support would be provided to encourage completion of the CIRP program as early as possible. Our business valuation and litigation support practice is based in Victoria.
While the position would be based in Victoria, clients tend to be Island wide with some work in the lower mainland. Victoria offers a great climate and recreational opportunities and is a very livable city with reasonable commute times, excellent schools and universities.
