L’ International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) a publié la deuxième partie de sa série de trois articles sur la dépréciation de l’achanlandage. Le premier article, intitulé « Is Goodwill a Wasting Asset? » demande la question suivante : l’information financière peut-elle refléter exactement l’économie des transactions? La deuxième article, intitulé « Information Value of the Current Impairment Test: Leading or Lagging Indicator ?  » explore quatre raisons potentielles pour le décalage persistant par rapport aux déclarations des dépréciations de l’achanlandage.

La série Perspectives est opportun puisque le FASB et l’IASB considèrent changer du régime du test de dépréciation aux dépréciations de goodwill.
