Please join our esteemed panel for a discussion on how climate change considerations are integrated throughout the decision making life-cycle of private equity firms. The panel will explore the following topics:

  • At the origination stage, how do you think about climate change?
  • Share examples of portfolio company engagement on climate change, value creation and navigating stakeholder views; and
  • Implementation and the impact on exit considerations.

Karly Dyck, Senior Vice President (Renewable Group) – Brookfield – Karly is responsible for the finance and operations of Brookfield’s private funds. Karly has held several finance roles at Brookfield, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer for Brookfield Renewable North America, a regional portfolio company of Brookfield Renewable Partners. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2012, she worked within the assurance and transaction advisory division of Ernst & Young.

David Howard, Director – Brookfield Renewable – David is responsible for overseeing the valuations of all global renewable power investments across both private funds and the public listed vehicle. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2019, he was a Senior Associate in the Valuations Consulting practice at RSM Canada.

Moderator – Amanda Laszutko, Vice President – Brookfield Asset Management – Amanda is responsible for capital raising, co-investments, investor relations and other strategic initiatives for Brookfield’s private infrastructure funds.  Prior to re-joining Brookfield in 2022, Amanda was a member of the investment team at OMERS Infrastructure, where she was responsible for originating and executing investment opportunities, as well as the asset management of existing portfolio companies.
