As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to become extensively involved in all aspects of the transaction process, including: financial modelling, industry and company research, and the preparation of internal and external presentations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prepare go-to-market materials and other key documents
- Develop and review financial models
- Assist in the execution of acquisition, divestiture, merger and financing engagements
- Compile and analyze information to be used in financial modeling and industry analysis
- Prepare and assist with presentations to clients and prospective clients
- Maintain and develop industry subsector data and overview materials
Attributes
- Completion of a university degree in Business or Engineering
- Desire to work towards or completion of an MBA, CFA, CBV or CA
- High attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Proficient with the MS Suite and experience with Capital IQ would be an asset
- Strong desire to learn new concepts
- Experience or enduring interest in the energy sector, especially as to how it relates to capital markets and transactions
- Experience, related coursework, or an aptitude for financial analysis, preferably as it relates to Investment Management, M&A and Investment Banking
- Experience preparing and analyzing Company financial statements would be considered and asset
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines
