MNP’s Edmonton Business Valuations group, which is part of the Alberta Advisory team, is rapidly growing. Our Valuation & Litigation Support services enable business leaders to be more strategic when buying or selling a business, preparing a succession plan, or resolving shareholder disputes. Examples of specific areas that our Valuations professionals deal with are: buy/sell agreements, companies going public/going private, mergers, matrimonial property disputes, tax and estate planning, quantification of damages, succession planning, valuation for financial reporting, and much more! This Senior Manager role will involve:

  • Completion of all levels of valuation reports including: comprehensive reports and fairness opinions, as well as the valuation of identifiable intangibles;
  • Damage quantification and litigation support work;•Management of staff;
  • Participation in corporate finance projects;
  • Participation in the growth of MNP’s valuations practice; and,
  • Significant opportunities for advancement.

The Candidate

This is a senior-level role. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of valuations experience and will have completed the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation. Having a Chartered Accountant designation, in addition to a CBV, would be considered an asset.  Strong technical skills in valuations and a proven track record in business are required. The ability to build and lead our Alberta practice, work well independently, and with a team is very important, as are effective communication skills and an entrepreneurial vision.
