Overview

Reporting to the Business Valuation and Litigation Support Partner, the Manager is responsible for management of each engagement including planning/methodology, communications with clients and counsel, financial research, review and analysis of documents, conducting and leading meetings with clients, supervision/oversight of junior staff, and supporting marketing initiatives of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in engagement planning including identification of key issues, methodology and budgeting
  • Oversight of information requests and management of documents/productions
  • Financial statement and document analysis
  • Prepare financial analysis and models
  • Conduct research for reports
  • Communicate with clients and counsel
  • Prepare expert reports for business valuation, damage claims or forensic accounting investigations
  • Management of client billings and collections
  • Monitor job hours for timely revision of fee budget
  • Delegate work to team members and supervise to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Management of team members to ensure quality of work product
  • Market firm’s services

Candidate Profile:

  • CPA CA and a CBV
  • Truly “passionate” about a career in business valuations and litigation support services
  • A minimum of five years’ experience including a combination of litigation/family law/corporate law/ corporate reorganizations/M&A/forensic work
  • Track record of well-written reports and correspondence prepared for litigation purposes
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, counsel, or other parties
  • Ability to provide practical solutions to complex problems
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented and possess well-developed project management skills
  • Exceptional communicator with an ability to think on his/her feet
  • Must possess a marketing sense and capability and is comfortable presenting to varying audiences
